EN ISO 21420 - Protective gloves - General requirements and test methods. This document defines the general requirements and relevant test procedures for glove design and construction, harmlessness, comfort and performance, as well as labelling and information provided by the manufacturer, which apply to all protective gloves.
EN 388 - Protective gloves against mechanical risks. Specifies the requirements, test methods, marking and information to be provided, for gloves that protect against mechanical risks due to abrasion, blade cut, tearing, puncture and, where applicable, impact.

A laboratory measurement method was defined, as well as how to analyse the data and how to draw up a test protocol for the vibration transmission coefficient of gloves with vibration-reducing material that cover the palm and fingers of the hand including the thumb. The vibration transmission in thirds bands with centre frequencies from 25 Hz to 1,250 Hz under conditions of vibration transmission from the test handle through the glove to the hand was determined.
